Two Point

Merging ambient soundscapes, jazz-inspired harmonies, and the blend of folk and electronic instrumentation, Two Point is the duo outfit by Los Angeles-based musicians Sharada Shashidhar and Caleb Buchanan. While their debut Bandcamp album, Duo Sessions (part 1), highlights their free, improvised approach, paired with a maverick use of live effect pedals, their compositional depth shines in through-composed songs, like “Ghostly”, their contribution to Leaving Records’ benefit compilation, Staying: Leaving Records Aid to Artists Impacted by The Los Angeles Wildfires.

Vocalist Sharada Shashidhar brings a globally informed perspective to the project, having trained in traditional Indian music prior to studying jazz at the New School, and now has emerged as one of the most genre-diverse vocalists in the Los Angeles music scene. Her distinct voice has become evident through her acclaimed solo work, which includes the 2024 jazz-opus, Soft Echoes.

An L.A. native, Caleb Buchanan anchors the duo’s sound on bass and guitar. A fixture in the Los Angeles music landscape, he has built a strong reputation supporting major touring artists such as Jordan Ward, Still Woozy, and Spill Tab, performing in sold-out shows both in the US and internationally. Through his wide-ranging experience, Caleb has evolved a range of skills, creating an open sound that is unhindered by a singular avenue.
